Analysis:
“Since” is used in the perfect tense form (S + Has/Have + been +V-ing). So, the correct answer is (D).

2.      X: John, have you met Bobi?
Y: Yes, when I came to his house, he … in front of his house.
a)      Sweep
b)      Is sweeping
c)      Was sweeping
d)      Will sweep
Analysis:                       
Well, to answer this question you must know the “Irregular Verbs”. Why the answer is C? Because “Was” is the past tense of to be and “Came” is the past tense as well. Came is come from the word “come”.

3.      Tom           : Hi George, are you still studying in the library?
George       : Yes, I … there for two hours.
a)      Am studying
b)      Was studying
c)      Had studied
d)      Have been studying
Analysis:
In this type of question, if there is “for” in the sentence and it used as a preposition then the form of this sentence is “perfect tense.”
